Last weekend I saw Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. grr. It was fun, it was funny. I made the mistake of going to the 3-D version, which was a huge letdown. The technology is getting really good, but there was no reason for it to be in this movie. The tickets are all $10 each, whether for matinee or other, so the price is definitely not right. Do yourself a favor, if you see this one, which you should, check out the 2-D version, you'd really not be missing anything. 3-D is once again the latest and greatest for movie makers, but for me, the extra four bucks per ticket, just seems like gouging. and this ain't the time for gouging. Go see it, you'll laugh, your kids will too, just don't get suckered into the marketing cash grab, you'll see a few extra effects, but it's largely transparent.
